When does Copilot pay off for your team?
Enter your numbers. The calculator shows how many minutes a week each person needs to save with Copilot for their licence to pay for itself. The calculation runs only in your browser; nothing is stored or sent.
Starting values: list price of Microsoft 365 Copilot Business on an annual plan (October 2026) and the average labour cost per hour worked in Germany in 2025 (Federal Statistical Office). All prices net.
That is how much time each person needs to save with Copilot every week for their licence to pay for itself.
Your licences cost a year.
Whether your team saves those minutes is decided in daily work: in emails, meetings and proposals. That is exactly where my training starts.
How it is calculated
With the starting values, step by step. It works the same way with your numbers.
Cost per week
€18.20 a month times 12 months, divided by 52 weeks: €4.20 per person per week.
Cost per minute
€45 labour cost per hour, divided by 60: €0.75 per minute.
The threshold
€4.20 divided by €0.75 gives 5.6 minutes. Rounded, that is 6 minutes a week.
